Hospitality Health ER is a freestanding ER in Longview, TX. We have an immediate need for multiple Full-Time and Part-Time Culinary Service Associate

The Culinary Service Associate will work 8-hour shifts and applicants must have the availability to work evenings and weekends.

Position Goals

The Culinary Service Associate maintains Department of Health kitchen standards within established policies and procedures of the medical facility. The position performs a variety of general kitchen duties including compliance with the Department of Health, menu preparing and shopping, scheduling, and cooking. The position prepared meals as planned for facility patients and guests. The position follows standard practices and procedures set for the department as well as outlined in the Employee Handbook and the Policies and Procedures Manual. The position complies with regulatory requirements.

Position Responsibilities

The responsibilities of the Culinary Service Associate are, but not limited to:

  • Cleaning and sanitizing work areas, equipment, utensils, and dishes
  • Preparing hot food, including accompaniments and garnishes
  • Following the preparation guide and provided recipes, prepare hot entrees, soups, and vegetables for the dining room
    service, healthcare center, cafeteria, and special functions
  • Storing food in designated containers and storage areas to prevent spoilage
  • Operating oven
  • Setting up workstation with sufficient product & utensils and preparing cooking & food holding equipment to
    ensure station is ready for meal service
  • Preparing food in advance as indicated
  • Arranging eye‐appealing, tasty food items following recipes provided for preparation and plate service of hot
    food
  • Baking cookies, pretzels, muffins, and other baked goods
  • Warming frozen foods in over to the right temperature
  • Reheating and holding food at proper temperatures
  • Working at a fast pace
  • Ensuring that all hot food preparation and assembling is done in accordance with established procedures
  • Multitasking and allocating time appropriately for multiple different orders
  • Maintaining cleanliness and working order of work area, tools, equipment, and supplies
  • Multitasking and allocating time appropriately for multiple different orders
  • Cleaning the kitchen, including floors and appliances, with appropriate kitchen chemicals
  • Handling and delivering prepared foods to the ER multiple times a day with a company vehicle

Education/Experience

  • High School Graduate/Equivalent preferred but not required
  • Previous food experience
