Overview

A freestanding ER in Galveston, TX is seeking a Hospitality Supervisor to join their team. The Hospitality Supervisor will strive to provide proficient, competent care while maintaining the patient’s sense of comfort and dignity. The potential candidate for this position will need to provide functional direction and leadership to the department that will help continue providing exceptional patient care that aligns with the company's goals. This position will consist of job duties that is admin specific and working the floor with patients. A specific schedule will be made to align with these duties to ensure competency.

Duties and Responsibilities of the Hospitality Supervisor:

Admin and Training Duties:

  • Mentoring new staff and providing training, constructive feedback and coaching.
  • Overseeing the organizing, planning and prioritization of workflow within the Hospitality Department.
  • Planning daily tasks for the Hospitality Department; anticipating the facility and patient needs and volume in order to complete tasks timely and best offer the HHER experience; ensuring all shifts are filled and overtime is minimized.
  • Coordinating the inventory of items within the facility to include picking up bulk orders and restocking supplies.
  • Document and use logs appropriately such as the Van Usage Log and Credit Card Log and must supply receipts/invoices and properly document usage related to HHER funds and resources.
  • Participating in marketing events throughout the community.

    On the Floor Duties:

    • Prioritizing patient needs throughout the duration of their stay to include answering questions and concerns; resolving any issues that may arise; running errands and providing meals.
    • Engaging with all patients, visitors and staff and providing a warm welcome; prepare and deliver refreshments.
    • Adhering to the mission and goals of Hospitality Health ER.
    • Completing daily responsibilities upon arrival and prior to departure of shift (cleaning, stocking, organizing, etc.).
    • Maintaining patient rooms and common areas within the facility; turning/changing patient rooms; stocking the patient rooms, lobby, and nursing station.
    • Communicating appropriately with patients, visitors and staff.

      Requirements:

      • Current driver’s license with no restrictions.
      • Ability to work effectively with patients, staff, and physicians.
      • Flexibility to meet scheduling demands of department.
      • Customer service experience: demonstrated ability in customer service practice related to direct patient care in a high volume, high stress environment.
      • The Hospitality Supervisor will maintain flexibility and availability for on-call and any coverage requirements that are not otherwise met by the Hospitality Department staff.
      • The Hospitality Supervisor will have strong communication skills and display a positive attitude and passion for Hospitality Health ER.
      • Proven experience in leadership.
