Position Goals

This job description for the Myotherapist at Infinite Hospital Services provides criteria for the evaluation of the Myotherapist position. The Myotherapist at Infinite Hospital Services functions includes providing exceptional personalized service to all patients, guests, visitors, and staff of the Client facility. The Myotherapist will strive to provide proficient, competent care while maintaining the patient’s sense of comfort and dignity.

Position Responsibilities

Under the direction of the Myotherapist Supervisor, the Myotherapist at Infinite Hospital Services will be responsible for, but not limited to:

1. Creating and maintaining a patient centered focus by engaging in a positive working relationship with all patients, visitors, and staff of the facility

2. Massaging and kneading muscles and soft tissues of the body to provide treatment for medical conditions, injuries, or wellness maintenance

3. Treating clients in a professional manner to the standard set by Client

4. Consulting with health care professionals of Client

5. Prioritizing patient needs throughout the duration of their stay to include: answering questions and concerns; resolving any issues that may arise; running errands; utilizing different massage modalities and massage devices.

6. Engaging with all patients, visitors and staff and providing a warm welcome; prepare and deliver refreshments

7. Overseeing the organizing, planning and prioritization of workflow within the Massage Department

8. Adhering to the mission and goals of Infinite Hospital Services

9. Planning daily tasks for the Massage Department; anticipating the Client and patient needs and volume in order to complete tasks timely and best offer the experience

10. Completing daily responsibilities upon arrival and prior to departure of shift (cleaning, stocking, organizing, etc.)

11. Maintaining patient rooms and common areas within the Client facility; turning/changing patient rooms; stocking the patient rooms, lobby, and nursing station

12. Coordinating the inventory of items needed to complete assigned tasks

13. Accountable to the Client

14. Communicating appropriately with patients, visitors and staff

15. Reporting any known accidents, observed or suspected violations of Company policy, safety hazard or any unusual occurrence to the department supervisor

16. Being a valuable teammate at all times, when asked to help with other tasks and/or other duties as requested

17. Maintaining professional appearance and good personal hygiene per company polices

Position Requirements

The requirements for employment with Infinite Hospital Services are:

· Customer service experience; demonstrated ability in customer service practice related to direct patient care in a high volume, high stress environment

· Critical thinking skills; ability to work autonomously and make efficient use of time and resources

· Understanding of clinical care and privacy

· Integrity and responsibility

· Ability to work effectively with patients, staff, and physicians

· Flexibility to meet scheduling demands of department

Education & Licensure

· High School Graduate/Equivalent

· Massage Therapist License issued by TDLR in Current status

Physical Demands

· Requires full range of body motion

· Eye‐hand coordination

· Standing and walking for extensive period of time

· Pushing and pulling

· Climbing (ascending and descending)

· Bending / Stooping

· Using arm, leg and back muscles for extended periods

· Occasionally lifts and carries items weighing greater than 50 pounds

· Requires corrected vision and hearing to within normal range

· Requires working under stressful conditions

· Working irregular hours

· Working with hazardous chemicals

· Potential for cuts and bruises

· Requires some exposure to communicable diseases and bodily fluids

· Must be able to handle patient emergencies and other unusual incidents

Job Type: Part-time

Salary: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour
