This job description for the Materials Handler / Warehouse Technician at Infinite Hospital Services provides criteria for the evaluation of the Materials Handler / Warehouse Technician position. The Materials Handler / Warehouse Technician at Infinite Hospital Services is responsible for incoming and outgoing freight and supply orders. In order to do this, the Materials Handler / Warehouse Technician is responsible for maintaining warehouse inventory levels by keeping track using a digital inventory system. The Materials Handler / Warehouse Technicians are responsible for filling orders placed by multiple departments of the ER in a timely and efficient manner. The position follows standard practices and procedures set for the department as well as outlined in the Employee Handbook and the Policies and Procedures Manual. The position complies with regulatory requirements.

Position Responsibilities

Under the direction of the Manager of Facility Services, the responsibilities of the Materials Handler / Warehouse Technician at Infinite Hospital Services are, but not limited to:

1. Performing a variety of tasks to ensure incoming orders are logged into the inventory system and stocked in the
appropriate location
2. Transporting supplies to and from the off‐site warehouse
3. Communicating to supervisor when inventory falls below designated par levels
4. Unloading and putting away inventory, and delivering freight when it arrives
5. Filling orders from the Facilities as requested
6. Transporting materials to other HHER facilities as needed
7. Utilizing the digital inventory system anytime supplies are used or moved
8. Maintaining proper rotation of stock through the use of pull and stock lines
9. Communicating to supervisor as levels of use change to ensure proper stock for the ER’s
10. Communicating to supervisor when equipment or systems are not working properly or of any safety hazards
11. Maintaining effective communication with management, dispatchers and other employees to ensure the highest
level of operational performance
12. Maintaining professional appearance and good personal hygiene per company policies
13. Adhering to the mission and goals of Infinite Hospital Services
14. Being a valuable teammate at all times, when asked to help with other task and/or other duties as requested

Education/Experience

High School Graduate/Equivalent is preferred but not required
Ability to read, speak, and write the English language
Must follow oral and written directions
Valid Driver’s License
