Position Goals

This job description for the Dishwasher at Crossing Creeks Country Club provides criteria for the evaluation of the Dishwasher position. The Dishwasher at Crossing Creeks Country Club is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and sanitation standards of dishes, tableware, glassware, pots, pans, utensils, and other kitchen equipment through manual and machine cleaning methods. The Dishwasher will ensure the dishwashing area is maintained as a clean, safe, and sanitary facility and compliance regulations are met.

Duties & Responsibilities

Under the direction of the Back House Manager, the Dishwasher at Crossing Creeks Country Club will be responsible for,

but not limited to:

1. Loading, running, and unloading the dishwasher with utensils, glassware, cookware, plates, and other items, in a fast and efficient manner

2. Ensuring all dishes are clean and sanitized before they are put away on dish racks or used by your fellow team members

3. Maintaining the dishwasher area to ensure it’s clean and organized and that the wash cycle is always sanitary and operating at peak performance

4. Mopping and sanitizing the dish room, kitchen floors, and dining room hallways at the end of each shift to maintain safety and sanitation

5. Sanitizing work areas at least once an hour throughout your shift to prevent cross-contamination

6. Setting up the dish room and dishwashing machine before your shift and properly break both down after every shift

7. Sorting and stacking clean dishes and carrying clean dishes to the cook’s line and other proper storage areas

8. Removing trash and garbage to dumpster

9. Filling and emptying soak tubs with cleaning/sanitizing solutions

10. Reporting any issues/problems to your manager immediately; follow chain of command

11. Ensuring that the place of work and surrounding area is kept clean and organized at all times

12. Arriving to work with a smile, in your full work uniform, a positive attitude and a willingness to give us your all

13. Adhering and complying with the most current rules regarding food safety, hygiene, federal, state, and local regulations and department processes and procedures

14. Ensuring a good relationship between the other departments to ensure effective communication

15. Showing leadership and direction with co-workers and other staff members

16. Communicating appropriately with members, guests, and co-workers

17. Adhering to and ensuring compliance with Crossing Creeks Country Club policies, procedures, and customer service standards

18. Participating in maintaining a safe, clean, and organized environment

19. Other duties as assigned

On Duty Behavior

1. Staff members may not recreate (play sports, swim, golf, racquet sports, etc.) while on duty

2. Alcohol consumption is not permitted while on duty

3. Smoking/vaping is not permitted while on duty; smoking/vaping is only allowed in designated area whilst “clocked out” on approved break

4. Members and guests are not to see or interpret staff as being overly attentive to their phones and/or personal electronic devices

5. No loitering; non-members and non-registered guest are not permitted to be loitering with staff

Position Requirements

The requirements for employment as Dishwasher with Crossing Creeks Country Club are:

3. Critical thinking skills; ability to work autonomously and make efficient use of time and resources

5. Strong interpersonal skills, impeccable organizational skills, and time management skills

15. Maintain TABC/food handling license requirements

Education/Experience

  • TABC / Food Handling license required
  • Previous proven working experience as a Dishwasher
