Position Goals for the Licensed Vocational Nurse LVN

The Administrative Clinical Specialist at Hospitality Health ER functions include patient call backs and answering nurse calls. The knowledge of basic health care is required to help people cope with their actual or potential health or illness problems or the treatment thereof requiring a substantial amount of scientific knowledge of technical skills. The Administrative Clinical Specialist will be a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) and will strive to provide proficient, competent care while maintaining the patient’s sense of comfort and dignity.

The Patient Advocate at Hospitality Health ER functions include providing exceptional personalized service to all patients, guests, visitors, and staff of the facility. The Patient Advocate will strive to provide proficient, competent care while maintaining the patient’s sense of comfort and dignity. The Patient Advocate LVN will also assist the Hospitality Manager with administrative functions.

Position Responsibilities for the Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) at Hospitality Health ER:

Under the direction of the Compliance Director, the Clinical Administrative Specialist at Hospitality Health ER will be responsible for:

1. Conducting patient call backs to ensure patient care satisfaction and address any follow up questions or concerns that a patient may have after leaving care under Hospitality Health ER

2. Addressing patient billing questions and/or concerns

3. Tracking any patient complaints

4. Answering nurse calls and providing knowledgeable follow up in a professional and caring manner

5. Following through with all outstanding call backs and patient messages

6. Contributing to meeting the mission and goals of Hospitality Health ER

7. Meeting the requirements of applicable federal, state and local regulatory or accrediting agencies

8. Upholding accountability to the Compliance Director, Staff Registered Nurse, Patient Care Manager, and Director of Nurses

9. Communicating appropriately with patients and co-workers

10. Contributing to extra duty assignment of Custodian of Records that may include, but not limited to: maintaining and tracking charts and maintaining employee files

Under the direction of the Hospitality Manager, the Patient Advocate at Hospitality Health ER will be responsible for, but not limited to:

1. Creating and maintaining a patient centered focus by engaging in a positive working relationship with all patients, visitors, and staff of the facility

2. Prioritizing patient needs throughout the duration of their stay to include: answering questions and concerns; resolving any issues that may arise; running errands and providing meals

3. Engaging with all patients, visitors and staff and providing a warm welcome; prepare and deliver refreshments

4. Overseeing the organizing, planning and prioritization of workflow within the Hospitality Department

5. Adhering to the mission and goals of Hospitality Health ER

6. Planning daily tasks for the Hospitality Department; anticipating the facility and patient needs and volume in order to complete tasks timely and best offer the HHER experience

7. Completing administrative tasks; must document and use logs appropriately such as the Van Usage Log and Credit Card Log, and must supply receipts/invoices and properly document usage related to HHER funds and resources

The requirements for employment with Hospitality Health ER are:

1. Customer service experience; demonstrated ability in customer service practice related to direct patient care in a high volume, high stress environment

2. Critical thinking skills; ability to work autonomously and make efficient use of time and resources

3. Understanding of clinical care and privacy

4. Current driver’s license with no restrictions

5. Ability to work effectively with patients, staff, and physicians

6. Flexibility to meet scheduling demands of department

Education/Experience:

Associate's Degree

Licensed Vocational Nurse required

Previous customer service experience, direct patient care preferred
