Description

A freestanding ER in Tyler, TX is seeking Paramedics/ER Technicians to join their growing team. The ER Tech EMT-P will provide patient support for physicians and nurses.

Duties and Responsibilities for the Paramedic/ER Technician

  • Support RNs and Physicians in providing technical care of patients
  • Document vital signs
  • Perform phlebotomy and IV starts
  • Perform EKGs
  • Place patience on cardiac and vital sign monitors
  • Wound care
  • Obtain lab specimens
  • Ensure patient areas, storage rooms, and equipment are clean and maintained
  • Manage lab supplies, linens and stock room supplies
  • Strong commitment to patient care and service

Requirements for the Paramedic/ER Technician

  • 1 year of experience working in an ER environment
  • Exceptional customer service skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong organizational, reasoning, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work under pressure in high-stress situations

Qualifications for the Paramedic/ER Technician

  • Exceptional customer service skills
  • Positive, warm and friendly personality
  • Self-motivated
  • Perceptive of non-verbal cues by patients
  • Minimum certification: EMT-P
